My role

I hold the world but as the world, Gratiano;
A stage where every man must play a part,
And mine a sad one.

Antonio, Merchant Of Venice, Act I Sc I

“All the world’s a stage,
And all the men and women merely players.
They have their exits and their entrances,
And one man in his time plays many parts,
His acts being seven ages.”

–From As You Like It (II, vii, 139-143)

Shakespeare was on of those writers who used his personal experiences in his writing. Another was R.K Narayan.

Here i must agree wit Shakespeare’s idea bout the world being a stage. So what is my role?

My role i believe is of cupid. I bring people together. I show them that love is important and feel happy when they r happy and together. But i do not fall in love. I do not allow myself to. I do not give myself that luxury or that kinda happiness.

My second role is also to bring value to people. Most of them do not kno how great they are and how valuable they r to themselves and the life as a whole. I bring awareness of their value. But i do not value myself.

So am i the Fool or Venus’ child?

  3. ahem! i don’t know who you are or what you do or even what you are, but based purely on thine blog and this post in particular, all i can say is : “ahem! so who says a man can’t play many two or more roles? you do. as stated above. so it’s not a case of either/or” that’s good. and if you truly are what you’ve stated above, i guess the world could use a few more people like yourself.” i could say more, but nevermind….
